Hastelloy B-2 metallurgical structure:
Hastelloy B-2 to the face centered cubic lattice structure. By controlling the content of iron and chromium, at a minimum, reduce the processing brittle prevented in the 700-870 ℃ Ni4Mo phase precipitated.
Hastelloy B-2 of the corrosion resistance:
The carbon and silicon content of the nickel-molybdenum alloys of Hastelloy B-2 is very low, reducing the phase precipitation of the carbon and other impurities of the weld heat affected zone, so the weld having a sufficient corrosion resistance. Alloy Hastelloy B-2 has good corrosion resistance in reducing medium, such as a variety of temperature and concentration of hydrochloric acid solution. Also has good corrosion resistance in a medium concentration of sulfuric acid solution (or contains a certain amount of chlorine ions). Also can be used acetic acid and phosphoric acid environment. The alloy material is only suitable metallurgical state and pure crystal structure in order to have the best corrosion resistance.
